It is so inspirational getting to learn about and work with the incredible participants of Adam’s Camp. As a disabled person myself, it means so much that I can give back to a community that means so much to me, personally. So often disability services forget that disabled people deserve to not just survive but to live. Adam’s Camp gives kids and families the opportunity to grow and have fun in an environment made for them, and there’s nothing as rewarding as knowing I had even a small part in that.

People turn to social media to be social and when they need guidance or support through tough, mentally draining days. Working with therapists is rewarding because they give advice from a comforting and safe space. If their content can help people reach out in their darkest time, then I know we’re putting some good into the world. It brings a sense of hope that people can reach out and work through past trauma to live fulfilling lives.

I love being able to work with a company that is dedicated to helping people create connections with each other through shared dialogue. Dismantling white supremacy is a huge, radical task, but TDC knows that even big changes start on a person-to-person level. By working to shift the underlying way people, whether they’re allies or learning-resistant, think about their race and privilege, TDC is able to create subtle changes that can later echo out into huge impacts.

I choose to work with KSR because I love working with a company that deeply values people on every level. Working with such an amazing variety of mission-driven nonprofits and small businesses is rewarding in and of itself, of course. Still, it means a lot that KSR really takes its people-first mentality to heart in the way we work with each other and our clients. This company is exceptional in its ability to value every individual’s personal time, effort, and experiences while balancing the logistical and creative needs necessary to do good work—all for the greater good.

It's rewarding to work with an organization that is supporting their local community by helping those in need of supportive recovery opportunities - not to mention the overall affordable housing issue. Both of those affect everyone - from small communities to larger cities. This is not only a local issue but expands throughout the country, and we are passionate about creating positive change in our communities.

It takes a village to raise children, and parents with developmentally disabled children often need extra support. Helping spread the word of Adam's Camp gives parents those resources. The community is very optimistic and helpful. It's great to share the camper's stories and give their parents and caregivers the resources they need. Also, highlighting the volunteers and therapists that work at the camp is important to show the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to create fully supported fun adventures and camp experiences for disabled children and adults.

With society always changing, it's great to have a voice on how we can work together. And a reminder that everyone succeeds when we find a way to work together. TDC offers insights and thoughtful responses on how the US can face its past while moving towards an equitable future. This is important in a personal space and how it is expressed within a professional environment. After all, we spend a lot of time at work, so having the tools to speak about difficult subjects at home and work, make every day a little better.
